Prof. Tsair-Fuh Lin
National Cheng Kung University
Prof. Tsair-Fuh Lin received his Ph.D. degree from University of California, Berkeley in 1995, and now is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering (DEnvE).
His research interests include two areas: 1) identification, treatment, and process modeling relevant to cyanobacteria, taste and odor compounds and cyanotoxins present in reservoirs and water treatment plants; 2) monitoring and treatment of arsenic and chlorinated hydrocarbons in ground water. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 papers, 3 books, and 10 patents, and has 8 technology transfers to industrial partners.

Prof. Mohammed Farid
University of Auckland
Professor Mohammed Farid obtained his PhD and MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Swansea, Wales and his BSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Baghdad.
He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers, London and an active member of a number of international societies. He has published more than 360 papers in international journals and refereed international conferences, 6 patents, 5 books and 10 chapters in books.
His research expertise covers many other important areas such as the thermal and non-thermal processing of food processing, biofuel and waste management.
